Friuli Venezia Giulia is a region of contrasts whose peripatetic borders were confirmed in 1954.
With the Alps to the north and Adriatic to the east a continental climate is touched by the Mediterranean to create a unique environment
Friuli Venezia Giulia is famed for its native and international varieties; a region where white wines rule. Examples being Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay
The low-lying Fossa Mala vineyard hails from the Friuli Grave DOC where the large stone (Grave) dominate the terrain of alpine river enriched soil deposits
Each of the low lying 37 hectare vineyards are planted with 7,850 vines specially chosen for quality wine production.
The modern wine cellar exploits the year’s hard work in the vineyard where a production philosophy utilising steel and oak has married tradition to the best in modern wine making techniques
The resulting white wines are fresh and fruity whilst red reserva from the Refosco Dal Peduncolo grape is powerful and bold!
